Happy New Year - 2006

We started the new year with new changes. We moved as family from Bukit Damansara to Ara Damansara, Subang just before Christmas. Children are now schooling in USJ. My wife and I have a longer journey to get to our workplace. I just have more mileage to ride..:-) every morning. Children were helping on the cleaning of the house too...

We have a little fish pond and now, we can feed the fish from our living room. It's cool but I have to fix some filteration system at the pond. Some work will take place to ensure good pond water clarity. We breed some koi fish and of course, I released some sebarau, kelah, red and black talapia... so that we have some refreshing things to do at home..

A week after our move, our wet kitchen roof collapsed. No one was hurt, but it was a near miss for my maid as she was there preparing dinner. It collapsed just on the new year's first day eve during heavy downpour. The roof was fixed within a few days and it is now perfect.

Our garden came instantaneously...first the shrubs and then the grass... We try to make it look green and relaxing, especially for a cup of evening tea.. We planted some water plants, hoping that it will look cooling during hot days.. Mosquitoes are the problems, but we were advised that little guppy fish will do the work.. So, we keep lots of little fish to protect the water from mosquitoes... of course, the conventional Abate will do its tricks on larvas...
