New Year 2007
Every new year, I am searching for things to upgrade or add on to my normal life. Most of the things I normally pay much attention are those that I already have such as family, friends, assets and hobbies that I am thankful for and enjoy very much.
2007 started in a blink, but was very blessful, when Hari Raya Haji marked the new year 2007. Those who performed hajj in Dec06/Jan07 had a great opportunity to gather at the Arafah on Friday, which resembles the Great Hajj with 70 times the rewards of what it is performed for normal hajj. Congratulation to those new Haji's.
As for me, I just want to update the stories in 2006. You would notice that Azad is now the proud owner of a brand new black Kawasaki Z750. My Suzuki DR800 (Doctor Big) was sold to a young couple from Klang. Of course, I could not sell at the price I was hoping for, but at least the sale minimized my losses. Man, I spent quite a lot for that bike and it is still a beauty to me...

New stuff? Well, last week, I took my family to Bukit Tinggi. Nice place, but I felt cheated a bit as we had to pay just to "visit" the resort. I understand that it is a private resort, but having had to pay RM45 per family to be there and yet, I did not see an immidiate gain from the fee was quite frustrating.... I guess, and I hope, someday, when the beaches are all sold to private owners such as the highland Bukit Tinggi sold to the private corporation, we should not be paying RM45 per family just to visit the beaches!!
Activities? New things we (Azad, Halim, Azman) agreed to do this year is to learn to swim the right way. Azad used to be a qualified life-guard has agreed to train three of us every Saturday in the pool. This week, it has been three weeks we followed the session and we float and drank a few jugs of water so far!!! Azman discovered a new swimming style ( I call it the polar bear style - jangan mare Man :-)) while Halim turned to be the best student so far...great choreographic moves in harmony but he has to learn to breath rather than to hold the breath under water!! I consider myself the most difficult trainee, while keeping all the sequences theoritically correct, the practical sucks!! They do not come in any agreed order!! Some day, I hope, by the end of this year, you will trust that we could be the new national's life-guards on service!!!
