What's New
It's been a while since the last update. I managed to get rid of my S40 Volvo. To be honest, the car was bought brand new in March 2002 and by May 2007, five years later, the steel worths 75% less than the purchased price! I was lucky enough to have a small balance of about three grands after paying my bank loan balance! It's like "timbang kati woo". It was totally unhealthy spending, and I did regret it. Most friends thought that the car was let go with a ridiculous price but the fact of the matter is that maintaining that Volvo also is a pain in the neck.. Every service, I never failed to pay at least RM1,500 and the last service at 90,000km cost me four grands! Now, I have transferred the registration to my new Nitro 120 cc bike.

In the past few months, my family and I visited a few places. This year is a bit free for us, especially Afif is already in Form 1 and Abby is just in Std 5. Last year, we stayed put just to ensure Afif could make it for his UPSR. Alhamdulillah, we managed to get him to a good start, not really excellent though but he "could-have been" in sort of speak!
The most interesting place we visited, I would say is Kota Kinabalu. It's my first time in KK and I would say that I will go there again.. It is part of Malaysia that I have little knowledge about the place.. We made new friends too...
We did not regret our trip to KK. If you're there, I would recommend you to visit Kinabalu Park and try the canopy walk, stretching over 300 meters and above 50 feet from the ground!
Then, do not forget to visit the Cultural Village in KK. They have a smaller scale village compared to the one in Kuching.
We visited Genting Highland on one Sunday evening and we did not see many changes there. We were not happy as we used to be everytime we're there in earlier years. The temperature's no longer cooling and due to a large number of visitors, the place looked overly packed, especially during school holiday! Afif took this picture below in front of Genting Hotel.
On the way to Jakarta, we stopped at a place called Puncak. It's located on the highland and we took a picture with tea plantation at the back. It took us 4 hours to reach Jakarta on the alternative road through Puncak. The highway connects Jakarta and Bandung in two hours by car.
Of course, wherever I go, it is interesting to note a few bikers were there too!!!
