Larian Perpaduan Merdeka - August 17, 2008
As the fasting month Ramadhan Al-Mubarak is just a few weeks away, I tought of taking another 10 km marathon challenge together with Halim, Azad, Doc Lal and Mafiz. We gathered at 6:30 am at Nasi lemak Tang Ling parking area and walked to the Dataran Merdeka.

Peace!!
We were getting ready for the run.. Hj Halim suda nampak macam suda berjaya!!
It was like a big celebration there, which we never thought of. We started with short aerobic warm up session and the whole event was broadcasted on TV1! Yes... we were in TV! Our last Olympic Run a month ago was not big at all, except there was a McD Clown at the start of the run. This run, our honorary Prime Minister was the one who released the runners.
Pak Lah as he was about to cut the ribbon at the start of the run
We ran through Kenny Hill at the back of Bank Negara, the hill that made me 'pancit' and we came out at the Hokey Stadium on Jalan Duta. Oh.. boy.. the rest of the run towards the Dataran Merdeka was quite a heck of a distance. The route was actually my normal short-cut on my motorbike when there was any massive jam. When on foot, it does feel very far!
My personal time for this run was 1 hour 35 minutes. It was 10 minutes worse than any regular time for 10 km run. Later that I learned the total distance covered was 10.25 km.. wolaweh...
With Talisman's Team - Azad, Jamil, Lim Boon Kok, Kent Khor ( Halim tengah Karaoke lagu 'semut merah!!)
Anyway, Halim and I rushed home after an urget SMS while Halim managed to spend a bit of time at the karoeke booth for "semut merah" dangdut show... :-)
One more certificate for the historical run!
