Fraser Hill Ride
I should say for months... (if not years..!) we planned to ride to Fraser Hill. Last weekend was the day... we won the trip to Fraser Hill. I promised Azad sharp at 0700 hrs to be at Shah Alam Projet, but I was a bit late.
Halim and I were gearing up to start the ride from Bukit Lagong to Kuala Kubu Bharu.
Departed at 0732hrs from Shah Alam through Gutrie Highway to Bukit Langong and Halim was there waiting on his CB400. We clocked good ride, that is 0742hrs, we met Halim at entrance to PLUS Highway to Rawang. Azad and I blazed through the morning fogs and fresh breeze but not any closer to 190km/h... we rode at 180km/hr just to flush through some sticky carbons in the exhaust system.. Every gateway at the tol gates registered "CEROBOH"... but what can we do, we could not risk our bike by using the motocycle path due to nail hazards!
The ride to Fraser Hill was challenging... I could not remember and lose count of the corners, and by the time we were at Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB), my arms were hurt!
I must admit that that was my first time to KKB aand to Fraser Hill... Anyway, if you're at KKB, pls try the nasi lemak next to bus station, trust me, you won't regret!
When we saw this picture, we smiled again, not because the way we looed, but just for the pressure free look we captured on our face!
The next ride from KKB to Frasr Hill was about an hour (slow ride), although Azad mistakenly explained to me that the distance to the "gap" was 10 kms... It was about 57kms more in reality.
The dam view on the way up to Fraser was wonderful. No one was really there and the information center observatory deck was fantastic, overviewing vast water body, surprisingly supplying majority of the fresh water needs for Klang Valley..
Halim and I negotiating one of the corners, not knowing that Azad was there with his camera! Notice the green?
It was our moment... I should say really "the moment" .. !!
Below, the famous clock tower! It's 11:21 AM.
Getting ready to ride back to KL...Don't be surprise that when you reach the top, there's nothing much to expect. Halim, Azad and I did recognize that and we celebrated the first moment there at about 1100hrs at the toilet just half a block away from the Clock Tower. Surprisingly and we were proud of it.. the toilet wuz really super clean and it costs 30 sen!!!! To all the toilet operators in the country, please visit this one and please take note..
One for the photo!!
