Another Challenging Run - Malakof 12km Run (TTDI - Dec 21)- Preparation Phase

The day is coming closer. The rush for adrenalin to finish off this year's marathon episode at good mark is beginning to put pressure on me... he he.. not really, but it is for Azad, I hope.. Jangan marah Ji. I took some initiatives this time to challenge myself to finish this year's marathon episode infront of Azad. Never mind Halim, never mind the rest.. This is the target.

Ever since Azad became aware of this challenge, he has been continuing his secret training every morning. I came up with speed check for every run and it appears that my speed is stable around 7 km/hr. Azad claims that his speed is around 8 km/hr++. I told him to double check his actual distance because his stop watch is good...ha ha.. Oh boy.. the pressure... I have to train more on mind controlling. It's totally phsycological. The minute my muscles get tired, my brain tells me to end the run at the next mark and walk, even before I really get fully tired. I know that I have the energy to go, but I have to find ways to 'stop' listening to my 'brain' on the run..

After trying so hard to loose some weight, I accept that may be I should get used to this 80 kg weight! Ha ha.. Just after the fasting month in October, my weight went down to 79 kgs, but now, it's back to 80 kgs!!

Of course, my preparation this time shocks Halim. I am so determined to beat this challenge. Last week, it was raining and Halim and I still ran at KLCC Park. Halim was mumbling all the way thinking about what the heck we both were doing in the rain!! If not because of the thunder, we would have done it a few rounds. Halim stopped at a quarter round but I finished a complete 1.3 km round, much faster due to the lightening - within less than 9 minutes - that is 8.7 km/hr... wow.. it was fun!! Azad, if you read this, don't feel the pressure aa... :-)

This morning, I ran a bit slower just to try to find the pace to keep the brain away from thinking that I got enough exercise for the morning. I did 3 km within 26 minutes - that is 6.9 km/hr average speed. That speed works but I will surely be overtaken by my competitor. Tomorrow morning, I have to test for 6 km's to see it I can control my brain. Azad, don't just read this blog.. go out and run!!! :-)

Hehe. Hj Ruslan, you can be sure that I have run... 7km yesterday morning. If you can beat me, the breakfast after the run will definitely be on me.
