Six Km KL Cross Country - Sunday Feb 15, 2009

The night of the Feb 15, I was looking for my running pants and obviuosly after a quiet January, my whole bag of goodies since the last December 2008 Genting Trail Blazer was unable to be traced and located within my house! Finally, I found my cycling pants and I just decided to use it anyway. Halim said that the way I dressed up was like Robin Hood! Pretty funny looking veteran in tight cycling pants running around the Lake Garden!

We were at the starting point but we could not locate Halim.

We found Halim... he was complaining to the organizer for locking up the restroom!!

The run was not bad given the distance was reduced to 6 Kms. However, 3 Kms towards the ending, we had to detour to the jungle trail with only 2 feet wide in between the trees and dangerously torny nibong trees. You can imagine what the trail looks like with over hundred of runners following the narrowly hilly jungle trails. My new Nike shoes changed colors drastically and was fully coated (nicer word for covered) with muds... Azad had his shiny new New Balance shoes dipped into the muddy trails and we were not prepared like our preparation for the Genting Trail Blazer!!!

I clocked 1 hour 30 minutes to finish the run while the qualifying time for the category was 60 minutes... 30 minutes was spent in the cramped jungle trails with majority of the time standing idle waiting for clearance!!!

One more for the album after the run... no certificate now said the organizer... it will be mailed to your address...adding them.

When I reached the finish line, Azad managed to capture the run on MPEG. I have to figure out how to post it here. Anyway, I took the whole day to recover... I have to urge Halim to train more for the next 10 Km run next week.

...lagi sekali, gambar kasi angkat...
